  • January 31, 2019: California Coastal Commission's Coastal Art & Poetry Contest for K-12 students of AAS.   
  • February 15, 2019:  Registration for Chinese Bridge Drawing and Painting Contest. 
  • April 6, 2019: Live Portrait Contest for the advanced students from our 2-hour class group.
  • March 25 to 29, 2019: AAS Art and Mandarin Spring Camp (1 Week)
  • April 27 to May 5, 2019: SFUSD Arts Festival at the Asian Art Museum, 200 Larkin Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. The artwork of 9 AAS students will be selected to appear in this exhibition.
  • ​June 1, 2019: Youth Cross-Border Art Exhibition 青少年跨国界绘画展.
  • June 10 to August 2, 2019: AAS Art and Mandarin Summer Camp (8 Weeks)
  • June 4 to August 4, 2019: Summer Art Classes - Afternoons and Weekends (9 Weeks)
EVENTS 2020:
  • ​January 19, 2020:  “Draw a Ducky” is an OPTIONAL activity for the basic-level students with extra energy. Students draw at home from the Drawing Instruction Book by  Lin Wei (at Amazon.com), then submit their completed works in color by January 14th to win a rubber ducky. 
           Level-1 students are required to submit three pictures in color.  
           Level-2 students are required to submit six pictures in color.

EVENTS 2022:
​No More War Art Exhibition 2022:  
Thanks to all the artists who have contributed to this exhibition. The response to our call for art against war has been overwhelming. The contributing artists range in age from ten to seventy-six, and come from many countries. Together, in a hundred ways, with line, light and color, they have sent out a single universal message.

Valerie Lin's "Touch the Heart" received the Gold award in the 2024 Bay Area Regional Scholastic Art Awards. and it also received and the 2nd Place from the South San Francisco Library, February 10, 2024.  
Valerie's "Grandparents " received 1st place at the Exhibition of Skyline College. 
And her entry in the latest poster contest for the San Mateo County Transit District will be displayed in the district's buses for one year.

Agnes Qiu's "Year of the Dragon" received 1st Place from the South San Francisco Library, February 10, 2024. 
Agnes's self portrait "Expressions Within", received the Exceptional Award from the 2024 Creative Youth Awards. 
And her "Symphony of Stars and Stripes" is in the VFW Auxiliary’s Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest Final Competition. 

Chloe Hui's artworks inspired by the new Hunger Games movie and The Wizard of Oz movie are both published in her school newspaper at Archbishop Riordan High School.
